Turn Back Time
Looking for a more youthful appearance? Say goodbye to fine lines, deep wrinkles and crow’s feet. Dr. Remo V. Biagioni now offers a variety of cosmetic injectable procedures for patients. Non-invasive aesthetic enhancement procedures, such as injectable facial treatments, are a safe and effective way of rejuvenating your face and significantly reducing the signs of aging.
Dr. Biagioni has been certified in cosmetic injectable procedures since 2005 and has performed these procedures on dozens of patients with very impressive results. Procedures are performed in his state-of-the art dental offices in two locations (Englewood, NJ and Demarest, NJ.) He presently offers BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport ®, Juvéderm ® and Restylane®.
Botox Cosmetic and Dysport
Botox Cosmetic and Dysport are both FDA approved. Botox Cosmetic (Botulinum Toxin Type A), is ideal for the temporary reduction of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in patients 18 to 70 years of age. Within 2 to 10 days patients will notice a difference. These differences may vary for each patient, but the results are very impressive. There are many benefits to choosing Botox Cosmetic, including no recovery and downtime, and typical results can last up to four months.
Dysport (abobotulintoxinA) offers the same benefits as Botox. Dysport (formally Reloxin) received the approval of the FDA for use as a wrinkle treatment in 2009, but it has been used on thousands of patients to soften and smooth facial folds and lines in Europe, South America, and elsewhere for several years.
Juvéderm is the newest injectable dermal filler that is gaining widespread popularity. It is used to soften deep folds and reduce facial wrinkles. Juvéderm is largely comprised of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced in the body that helps transfer essential nutrients (such as water) to skin cells, helping to support facial structures. Juvéderm was approved by the FDA in 2006 and available in the US since 2007 after being available in Canada and Europe for several years.
Another choice in injectable filler is Restylane – a natural cosmetic filler. Restylane is ideal for facial wrinkles and has been on the market for several years longer than Juvéderm. In fact, Restylane was the first dermal filler approved by the FDA made of a biodegradable hyaluronic acid. This acid has been modified slightly to last longer than the body’s own hyaluronic acid. The natural acid provides volume and fullness to the skin, resulting in decreased wrinkles and less defined folds. The Restylane treatments are almost immediately visible and typically last eight to ten months with some patients reporting results lasting over one year.

An alternative to veneers is a process called bonding, in which a tooth-colored material that looks like the enamel of your teeth is molded and shaped, and then hardened and polished.
Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth. Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth.
There are alternative, natural-looking materials to conventional silver-colored fillings – materials made from porcelain and composite resins, which are colored to match natural tooth enamel.
Our office offers the Opalescence home bleaching system, including both custom-made bleaching trays and the Trés White home bleaching system.
Sealants are liquid coatings that harden on to the chewing surfaces of teeth and are showing a great deal of effectiveness in preventing cavities-even on teeth where decay has begun.
Root Canal Therapy
We perform root canals on all teeth.
When restoration procedures such as root canal therapy, crowns, or fillings are not enough to save a tooth, it may need to be pulled, or extracted.
Jaw / TMJ
People who grind their teeth can sometimes develop a serious problem with their jaw, which left untreated, can adversely affect the teeth, gums and bone structures of the mouth.
Complete and Partial Dentures
Complete dentures replace all the teeth, while a partial denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from changing position. Candidates for complete dentures have lost most or all of their teeth. A partial denture is suitable for those who have some natural teeth remaining. A denture improves chewing ability and speech, and provides support for facial muscles. It will greatly enhance the facial appearance and smile.
Special thin laminates, called veneers, can often be used to correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth. Veneers can also be used to close unsightly gaps between teeth. Dr. Biagioni has been placing porcelain veneers since 1986.
